Benue SSG, Tony Ijohor Gives Testimony As He Recovers From COVID-19

Secretary to the Benue State Government, SSG, Tony Ijohor has in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, July 24, expressed his gratitude to God for escaping the doom of the deadly COVID-19 disease.

Naija News recalls that Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom had earlier confirmed that Ijohor and his Chief of Staff, Terwase Orbunde tested positive for the dreaded pandemic. However, SSG while giving his testimonies applauded the state COVID-19 team for a job well done.

He again extended his thanks to Governor Ortom, his deputy, Engineer Benson Abounu and the entire State Executive Council for their prayers and concern while he was down with the viral disease.

He said, “It is with praise and thanksgiving to God Almighty that I announce that after subsequent tests, NCDC has declared that I am COVID-19 negative.

“I return all glory to God Almighty for His mercy. I also appreciate my wife and my entire family for their support during the time I was in isolation.”

He again prayed to God that the wife of the governor, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom and others affected with the pandemic will recover quickly and come out with negative result from the viral disease.

“The COVID-19 team has been wonderful. I join thousands of other well-wishers in prayers for Benue’s First Lady, Dr. Mrs Eunice Ortom, the Head of Service, Mrs Veronica Onyeke and others. We are optimistic that they will all come out negative and remain hale and hearty,” the SSG prayed.
