1. NCDC Reports 591 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has reported five hundred and ninety-one confirmed new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country. The health agency on Friday, July 24 confirmed the new figures on its verified official account on the microblogging site, Twitter.

2. Dogara Dumps PDP, Joins APC

Yakubu Dogara, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Naija News reports that he has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

3. What Dogara Said About APC, Buhari As PDP Member

Former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), when he joined the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018. Naija News had reported earlier that Dogara, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, dumped the opposition PDP and joined the ruling APC.

4. COVID-19: All Civil Servant Must Undergo Test – FG

The Federal Government of Nigeria has directed all Civil Servants to go for coronavirus test. Naija news learnt that the directive was contained in a circular by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office in the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Evelyn Ngige.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for asking President Muhammadu Buhari to resign. The National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, in a press conference on Friday, asked Buhari to resign.

A United States restaurant has wowed its customers after it placed a funny but sincere warning note in its toilets. The unusual notice which has been described by a customer as ‘inappropriate’ warned the customers against misuse of the toilets which eventually result in it blockage.

8. Biafra: IPOB, MASSOB, Police In Bloody Clash In Imo

At least twenty officers of the Imo State Police Command clashed with members of Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) at Orji in Owerri North Council Area of the state. Naija News understands that the clash occurred at Orji between the Orji fly over and Ama wire. The clash, according to an eyewitness, led to the exchange of gunfire that led to some members of the two organisations sustaining serious injuries.
