The Nigerian Senate has been presented with the names of 41 non-career ambassadorial nominees for scrutiny and subsequent confirmation.

Naija News learnt that the names of the nominees were sent to the senate today by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The nominees as announced on the floor of Senate during Wednesday’s plenary by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan include the Editor- in- Chief of Guardian Newspapers, Debo Adesina representing Oyo State: Sunday Awoniyi for Kogi State; Ademola Sarki, representing Lagos State and former Politics Editor, Thisday, Oma Djebah, representing Delta State.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the National Assembly is yet to react to the alleged accusation raised against some lawmakers by the Minister of State for labour and employment, Festus Keyamo.

The Minister had alleged that some political leaders are attempting to compromise the objective of an initiative aimed at creating no less than 774,000 jobs in the country.
