The Police Public Relation Officer in Imo State, Orlando Ikeokwu has confirmed that its command arrested some members of a kidnapping group who disguised as security personnel in the state to get their victims.

Naija News understands that some team of the Imo State Police force get hold of the kidnapping gang in Apani, a community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

According to the report confirmed to newsmen by the PPRO, Kingsley Ogugwo and Ibrahim Mohammed were both arrested for allegedly kidnapping one Musa Inusa at Umuapu Ohaji/Egbema.

Inusa was said to have fall into the kidnapper’s hand who disguised as personnel of the State Security Service while he was on a journey from Rivers State to Imo state where they were arrested following a tip-off.

Naija News learnt that the SARS Operatives at seized a Toyota Camry with Reg. No. FST371EC and money amounting to N37,500 belonging to the victim from the kidnapper’s hand.

Also, an improvised black stick which served as a riffle gun and Inuwa’s mobile phone was recovered from their hand after the arrest.
