As Coronavirus confirmed cases and death rate continues to increase, over 399 French nationals have been evacuated from Nigeria by its government on Thursday, April 2.

Naija News understands that the French government airlifted about four hundreds of its nationals from Nigeria at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, due to the global pandemic.

Reports have it that all necessary security and health checks where duly completed before they boarded the aircraft.

It could be recalled that the Israeli government had evacuated 274 of its citizens from Nigeria as a result of the increasing coronavirus outbreak in the country, Naija News report.

The evacuation process was supervised by the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Abuja, Mr Yotam Kreiman.

In a recent development, Naija News reported that the Federal Government of Nigeria has backtracked on its earlier request for help from US billionaire, Elon Musk in combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Musk had taken to his official Twitter handle to disclose that his firm had extra ventilators that had been approved by the Food and Drug Administration in America for a giveaway.
