EPL: Guardiola Praises Ederson Despite 2-0 Defeat To Man Utd

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola a few hours after his side lost three points to Manchester United in the English Premier League, has reacted to the game which saw the home team lead with 2-0.

While City fans and fans of other clubs are blaming Ederson, Manchester City’s goalkeeper for the loss on Sunday night, Guardiola instead has hailed the goalkeeper for his performance.

An opening goal from Anthony Martial and another last minutes goal from Scott McTominay secured United three-point in the Premier League game played on Sunday night.

A ball throw from Ederson was swiftly reached to by Scott who placed back the ball into City Ederson’s net.

This online news platform also understands that last night’s loss to United is the first time City have lost in the league at Old Trafford since 2015.

However, Guardiola, while speaking about the game in an interview with Sky Sports praised Ederson, who he described as “extraordinary”.

Guardiola said: “He’s an extraordinary keeper. That’s the only thing I can say.

“It’s part of the game so next time he’s going to do better. He’s an extraordinary player. The way we played needed the build-up, sometimes it happens.”
