Gov. Zulum Of Borno Appoints Yoruba, Igbo Into His Cabinet

During the swearing-in of some appointees in Borno State on Wednesday, Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, who in his absence was represented by his deputy, Umar Kadafur, gave its reason for including two non-indigenes into his administration cabinet.

Naija News understands that Governor Zulum on Wednesday listed in his appointment an Igbo and Yoruba men.

Chief Kesta Ogualili who hails from Anambra and Alhaji Yusuf Alao from Oyo State have their name listed among 26 special advisers swore in by the governor on Wednesday.

This media learned that Gov. Zulum had on January 9, appointed the two who were non-indigene but have lived in Borno State quite a number of years and have also been all-time supporters of the All Progressives Congress.

The Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, during the swearing-in, administered oaths of office and allegiance on the 26 special advisers.

24 others includes; Sheikh Modu Mustapha, Ali Damasak, Mustapha Bulu, Hussaini Gambo, Bukar Ardoram, Tukur Mshelia, Tijjani Modu, Inna Galadima, Zarah Bukar, Mustapha Sandabe, Gadau Ngurno, Mohammed Maulud, Bole Kachallah, Abdulrahman Abdulkarim, Barr. Bashir Maidugu, Bukar Konduga, Umoru Gaya, Ali Zangeri, Tukur Ibrahim, Tijjani Kukawa, Abba Gubio, Malam Gana Badu, Alhaji Adamu Chibok and Ahmed Zarma.

Kadafur, while speaking during the event, in the place of the state governor admonished the new special advisers to carry out their duty as expected.

This is coming a few days after Naija News reported that Boko Haram suicide bombers on Sunday attacked a mosque in Gwoza, Borno state, killing a 12-year-old child and leaving many injured, Naija News understands.

According to The Cable, a security source said the suicide bombers forced their way into the mosque while prayer was ongoing.
