Reports reaching Naija News at this time disclosed that a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano state has defected to the All Progressive Congress.

This is coming barely two days after Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s victory in as declared by the Court on Monday.

It will be recalled the apex court in has on Monday, affirmed Ganduje’s victory at the polls and dismissed the appeal by Abba Yusuf, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the report which was made public on Wednesday morning, it stated that the chairman of the PDP in the state, Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, who is also former secretary to the government, has joined the APC house.

Naija News also understands according to the report that Bichi had left the PDP with a few numbers of Kwankwaso supporters who are said to be loyal to him.

Reacting to Bichi’s move to APC, an ally to the leader who pleads to remain anonymous, while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday said that the former chairman of the PDP in Kano defected based on his personal principles and convictions.

He added that the Supreme Court’s ruling has no bearing whatsoever on Bichi’s move.

However, there are insinuations that defections going on in the state by some PDP members was because many of them are afraid of being victimised or at least probed by the new APC-led government.
