Boko Haram Attack Chibok Town, Kills Six

At least six people have been killed and two women kidnapped by Boko Haram fighters in Kwaranglum village in Borno State.

Kwaranglum is about a kilometer to Chibok town, Headquarters of Chibok Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State.

Naija News learned that the incidence took place on Christmas Eve, when according to the state commissioner for poverty alleviation, Mr. Nuhu Clark, who is an indigene of the area, told newsmen that the Boko Haram insurgents invaded the village at sunset prayer time (around 6 pm), and started shooting sporadically.

He noted that a primary school was burnt down during the attack and a large quantity of food was packed from church premises.

Reacting, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, expressed his condolence to the entire Chibok LGA over the sudden sad attack.

The governor asked the people to continue to pray for peace, and stability of the state, pointing out that without peace and stability, there would not be development and progress.

This year’s yuletide has witnessed a serial attack from Boko Haram insurgents on many communities across Borno and Yobe states.
