Police Arrests 60-Year-Old Man, Three Others For Allegedly Raping 9-Year-Old Girl

A man identified as Usman Ibrahim and three others has been arrested by the Niger State police command for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl in the Paikoro Local Government Area of the state.

A team of policemen attached to the Paiko Division arrested the 60-year-old man and the other suspects, Zakari Aliyu, 25; Mustapha Isah, 17; and Imurana Aliyu, 16 following a tip-off.

The development was revealed in a statement released by the spokesperson of the command, Muhammad Abubakar.

According to Abubakar, the suspects usually lured their victims with N20 or N50 and then rape her.

A further report had it that they were apprehended after one of the suspects was caught in the act by the victim’s mother and was arrested by the police.

The victim during interrogation told her mother of the other men who also raped her after giving her N20 or N50.

The police spokesperson said the suspects will be arraigned in court once investigations have been concluded.
