'Emefiele, Buhari Now Put To Shame' - Fani-Kayode Reacts To Supreme Court's Ruling On Naira Policy

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has warned Yorubas to stop comparing their leaders, saying all of them offered something unique.

Naija News reports that former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, had stated that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has achieved more than the late Obafemi Awolowo and MKO Abiola, acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

Ogunlewe based his claim on the number of individuals Tinubu has been able to help to become governors, ministers and vice president.

Reacting in a post on Tiwtter on Sunday, Fani-Kayode said Obasanjo, Tinubu and other Yoruba leaders played significant roles in Nigeria.

He said urged Yorubas to stop trying to compare their elders or say one has achieved more than the other.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “Tinubu has achieved more than Awolowo, MKO Abiola”–Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe.

“Why do we Yorubas always have this infantile craving to compare our leaders and say one is greater than the other?

“Tinubu, Abiola, Obasanjo, SL Akintola, Samuel Ajayi Crowther, Herbert Macaulay and many others all made their mark and all played notable and historic roles. Some are still playing it.

“We should be grateful to God for them all and stop trying to compare them or say one has achieved more than the other.”
