President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with Governors of the nine oil-producing states in the country at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State said the issues discussed bothered on security, economy and the development of their various states.
He also expressed happiness that Buhari acknowledged the challenges highlighted.
Governor Dickson revealed that the president promised to work towards resolving some of them.
On the upcoming Bayelsa State Governorship election, Dickson called for peaceful and credible exercise.
Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled the Kogi and Bayelsa State governorship election for November 16, 2019.
