The Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State, Habu Ahmadu Sani, has sent warnings to political party supporters not to disrupt the sitting of the governorship election petition tribunal which resumes on Wednesday for the final verdict.

CP Sani stated this while reacting to the accusations by the leadership of political parties in the state who alleged plans to disrupt the tribunal sitting.

“It is good that there are accusations and counter-accusations, this will enable the Police to effectively perform their constitutional duties of providing security to all irrespective of status, political affliction and position.”

“We will deploy our men to all strategic locations within the metropolis.”

“We will also give adequate cover to all the tribunal officials particularly the judges to and from the court so that they will be able to discharge their duties without any fear or intimidation,” the commissioner said.
