Police Invite Ihedioha, Others Over Kidnapping, Murder Allegations

The Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has charged Nigerians not to see the probe of Senator Rochas Okorocha, as an act of witch-hunt.

Governor Ihedioha stated this during his condolence visit to the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, over the death of his father.

He further stated that he is waiting for the outcome of the probe report, he added that the investigation is a drive toward making Imo State better.

The Imo State Governor noted that his government would not hesitate to implement the recommendations of the committee’s report once it was ready.

He claimed that the report about the recovery of #1.2bn and some properties by the state government from the immediate past administration did not emanate from him.

Ihedioha claimed that the investigative panel that was set up to probe the eight years of the All Progressives Congress in the state revealed the information.

The governor said, “I don’t think I said all those things. Because I am not witch-hunting the former governor. There was a committee that we set up that is doing all those things (investigations).”

“The findings of the committee have not been made known to me. Obviously, this (probe) is to make Imo State better now.”
