Manchester United former manager, Jose Mourinho, was full of praise for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following Arsenal’s victory over Newcastle.
The Gabonese scored a goal through a cross from Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the 58th minute, which he lifted over Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka.
The goal gave Arsenal a win in their first game of the season, for just the second time in five years.
Mourinho while speaking with Sky Sports said, “I think he loves to be in front of the goalkeeper.”
“He’s cool, he loves to be there and of course, what I love to say, simplicity sometimes is genius.”
“That control looks simple but it’s not simple, it’s genius. Then the finishing is beautiful”.
