Pastor Adeboye Tells Nigerians What To Do Over Xenophobic Attacks In South Africa

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed that some people are taunting him over the abduction of members of his church.

Naija News reports that the RCCG members were abducted along the Ijebu-Ode axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on their way to attend the church’s Ministers’ Conference in Lagos from the south-east.

The shocking development was disclosed by Adeboye on Friday during his message at the ongoing ministers’ conference holding the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Adeboye who expressed sadness about the incident called for prayers from the congregation for the release of the abducted pastors.

The Ogun state police command had earlier identified the victims as Chidioze Eluwa, Chiemela Iroha, Okoro Ohowukwe, Ndubuizi Owuabueze, and Ibeleji Chidinma.

Speaking on Saturday morning while addressing pastors of the Church at the Redemption Camp along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Adeboye said contrary to his earlier comment, only one pastor of the church was abducted.

He said: “People have been taunting me and challenging me that since I hear from God how come this is happening to your church pastors.

“I want to say it has been confirmed that only one pastor of the church was kidnapped along with four other people. That does not reduce from the weight of the incidence, however.”

“The church will continue to pray for the release of all those who have been kidnapped.”
