Breaking: Senate Issues Fresh Order To Gov Obaseki On Edo Assembly Crisis

The Senate on Tuesday ordered the governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki to issue a fresh proclamation for the inauguration of the state House of Assembly.

This follows the presentation of the report by its Adhoc committee on the crisis rocking the state house of assembly.

The lawmakers in their fresh directive, told the governor to issue the fresh proclamation withing a week or the National Assembly will take over legislative duties in the state.

The decision of the members of the upper legislative chamber is in line with what the House of Representatives earlier adopted.
