Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has accused the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari of plotting to amend the Land Use Act in order to forcefully acquire lands.

Naija News recalls that Buhari had recently suspended the planned RUGA settlements for Fulani herdsmen.

Fani-Kayode, in a post on Twitter on Thursday, alleged that Buhari wants to give land in every state to the Fulani for RUGA, the Fulani herdsmen and their cows.

He wrote: “The FG is planning to amend the Land Use Act and include a clause that will give them the power to allocate state land to whoever they deem fit on the grounds of national interest.

“This will effectively take the power over land away from state Governors and pave the way for Buhari to give land in every state to the Fulani for RUGA, the Fulani herdsmen and their cows.

“I urge Nigerians to resist this blatant attempt to enslave them, steal their land and create Fulani colonies and communities in their backyard.
