Omokri Speaks On INEC Server

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has alleged that one Femi Taiwo deleted the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) used during the 2019 elections.

Naija News reports Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) insisted the results of the election were transmitted to a server and that he won according to the server.

Atiku, therefore, headed to the courts to challenge the election victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The nation’s electoral umpire, INEC, however, denied ever transmitting the 2019 election results through the server.

Omokri had however recently claimed that INEC had a server and has gone further to claim that it was later deleted.

In a tweet on his handle, Omokri claimed that Femi handled the job for INEC and if he denies it, he’d provide more evidence.

“This is Femi Taiwo, the man behind the now-deleted INEC server. Nigerian and foreign journalists should interview him. If he denies, then I will provide more evidence,” he tweeted.

“He can be reached on 08034544165 or [email protected].”

Omokri, however, absolved the man of any wrongdoing, rather putting the blame at INEC’s doorstep.

The young man has done nothing wrong and Nigerians should not attack him. He is not the culprit.
@INECNigeria, that denied the existence of a server is. The whole point is to contact the young man and interview him about his work for INEC.
