Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Meunier

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Thomas Meunier ahead of Manchester United and have offered the £26m-rated PSG full-back a five-year contract, according to reports in Italy via TeamTalk.

Unai Emery is expected to be extremely busy in the transfer market this summer as he looks to overhaul the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger and improving the defence is a priority after Arsenal conceded 51 Premier League goals this season.

Arsenal board make Unai Emery sack decision

ARSENAL’s board have made a decision on Unai Emery’s future after their Europa League final loss to Chelsea, according to reports.

Daily Mail say Emery’s position at the Emirates is not under the threat.

The Arsenal board knew his first season would be one of transition following the departure of Arsene Wenger a year ago.

However, the Daily Mail add there are ‘dissenting’ voices behind the scenes who believe Emery has failed to take the club forward.

Arsenal are keen to see the Spaniard succeed, though, and hope a technical director would hope.

‘Give Emery some money!’ – Arsenal Legend Warns

Arsenal are in danger of being “left further behind”, says David Seaman, with a Gunners iconic calling for Unai Emery to be given “some money” in a crucial transfer window.

Former goalkeeper Seaman hopes a frugal board will break with tradition and back their boss, telling football.london: “Give him some money. Give him a transfer window.

“There have been two transfer windows that have gone by and he’s had nothing.

“The board need to back him or otherwise we are going to be left further behind.”
