EFCC Arraigns Maina Over Navy Captain’s N9 Million

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Benue State has arraigned a businesswoman before the state’s High Court for issuing a faulty cheque to her business partner.

Naija News learnt that the accused, Anna Ogbole and her company, Henot Global Business Limited are standing trial on a two-count charge for alleged issuance of the faulty cheque before Justice S. O. Itodo of the Benue State High Court, sitting in Makurdi.

However, the accused, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to her. Upon an application by her counsel, she was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned to June 10 and 11 2019 for trial.

Meanwhile, In another development, A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Odo-Otin local government area of Osun State, Mr Ajayi Shuaib, has denied filing fresh suit against Senator Ademola Adeleke, his party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Distancing himself from the suit, Ajayi maintained that his name was fraudulently used by one Bukola Adewale to file a fresh case against Adeleke, the PDP and INEC, contending that he knew nothing about the litigation.
