N-Power Beneficiaries To Get March Salary This Week – Presidency
N-Power Gives Update On March Stipends
Beneficiaries of the federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power have been given assurances that their March stipend will be paid this week.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment, Afolabi Imoukhuede, said this on Thursday.
Naija News understands Imoukhuede gave the assurance in Abuja, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
The beneficiaries have been agitated over the delay in the payment of their March allowance and have been holding out for positive news.
Addressing the delay, Imoukhuede said it was caused by some issues that had to be sorted out with the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General’s Office, adding that some issues were being sorted out.
He further denied speculations that the delay is an attempt to phase out the batch one beneficiaries of the scheme from the programme.
“It is not as if we had paid batch two and we did not pay batch one, there is a delay and I think the government has been consistent in payment.
“The issues are being worked out between the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General’s Office, and once these are resolved, the beneficiaries will get their stipend.
“I am sure, this week it will be resolved,” he assured.
