Nigerians React To Oyetola's Supreme Court Victory

Gboyega Oyetola, Osun State Governor, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, have appealed the Election Tribunal judgement that declared Ademola Adeleke winner of the 2018 governorship election in the state.

Oyetola asked that the judgement is reversed by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Naija News recalls the tribunal had, by a majority judgment of two members, voided the election of Oyetola, and declared Adeleke winner.

In a 39-ground notice of appeal filed by their team of lawyers, led by Wole Olanipekun (SAN), the APC and Oyetola faulted the majority judgment given by Justices Peter Obiora and Anyinla Gbolagunte.

They want the Court of Appeal to dismiss Adeleke and PDP’s October 16 petition and uphold that APC and Oyetola remain the governor of the state, and set aside the majority judgment.
