PDP Says It’s Ready For Supplementary Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has declared that it has set structures in place that can guarantee no one would be able to rig Saturday’s supplementary election.

The party added that it will resist any plot by thugs dressed in military uniforms seeking to rig the March 23 supplementary elections scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The opposition PDP said this in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Thursday, ahead of the forthcoming supplementary polls.

Naija News recalls INEC scheduled rerun/supplementary polls in States where the March 9 governorship elections were declared inconclusive.

PDP stated that it was ready to “confront, resist and dismantle all rigging machinery” in a bid to consolidate on its already established victory in the March 23 supplementary governorship elections.

“Our structure and followership in Sokoto, Kano, Adamawa, Plateau, Bauchi and Benue states have been fully rallied at all levels of polling and collation process to resist any attempt by anybody to manipulate.

“We charged all our members, teeming supporters and all lovers of democracy in these states to remain steadfast in resisting the APC and marching out en-mass to their polling units this Saturday to consolidate their victory against oppressive forces in our land,” the party said.
