It is the usual stereotype for most celebrities to be born into poverty or went through hardships to boost their career. However, some of these celebrities can be excluded from those who started from scratch as they were born rich or from well to do families. Let’s not take away the fact that it was their hard work that led them to become A-list stars in Nigeria. We got a number of celebrities who were born with a silver spoon but on our list today we want to share with you guys, Seven of your favorite celebrities who were born rich.

1. Folarin Falana A.K.A (Falz D Bad Guy)

Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, actor, and songwriter. Falz initially followed the footsteps of his renowned lawyer and activist father, Femi Falana, studying Law at a UK university. But along the line, Folarin Falana decided to channel his talents into acting and rapping, which has made him a lot of money, despite coming from a rich family already.

 

2. David Adeleke A.K.A Davido

David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. His 2011 single “Dami Duro” was well-received throughout Nigeria. Along with his elder brother Adewale Adeleke, Davido is the co-owner of HKN Music.  Davido is the son of one of the wealthiest men in the country, Dr. Deji Adeleke, the chairman of Keplo-Pacific Energy Pacific and pro-chancellor of Adeleke University, Ede in Osun State. Recently, Davido graduated from Babcock university with a second class upper degree.

 

 

 

3. Naetochukwu Chikwe A.K.A Naeto C

Naeto C: Nigerian rapper and producer, Naetochukwu Chikwe popularly known as Naeto C. He was born in Houston, Texas  to the family of Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation, Kema Chikwe, and presently currently holds the position of National Women Leader of the Nigerian political party PDP. In 2012, he got married to his longtime girlfriend and they have a daughter together.

4. Damilola Afolabi A.K.A  ( L.A.X)

Damilola Afolabi is also known as L.A.X. appears to be one of those humble celebrities around but the truth is he is not your everyday star. L.A.X. is the son to billionaire industrialist, Taiwo Afolabi of Sifax Group. Like we said at the beginning of this article, some celebrities despite their fame can decide not to work a single day of their lives and can still afford all the good things of life. L.A.X. falls into that group. He isn’t just rich but has degrees from some of the best universities in the world which includes The Stanford University where he bagged a masters degree from.

Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, is a Nigerian disc jockey and producer. She is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola. On 8th August 2014, she launched her new project, House of Cuppy. She is currently an intern at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. She bagged her first degree in Business and Economics from Kings College in London and a masters degree in Music Business from famous New York University. Since her emergence in the entertainment industry some few years ago, DJ Cuppy has become one of the most talked about celebrities around. She isn’t just a rich kid but a beautiful and hardworking one. When Cuppy isn’t on the wheels of steel, she is making good music. Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known by his stage name D’banj, is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, television personality, and rapper.D’banj, also known as the Kokomaster or Bangalee, was born in June 9, 1980 in Zaria, the northern part of Nigeria to a military officer who commanded an artillery regiment and a devout church dignitary businesswoman who hailed from Shagamu in Ogun State.

7 Chukkie Edozien, AKA Lynxx

Nigerian artist whose real name is Chukkie Edozien is the son of John Edozien,  a former deputy governor of old Bendel State in Nigeria. He came out in …with his first hit called Change your parade He is also one of Nigeria’s most sought after male celebrities better. He is the first Nigerian artist to be endorsed by the global brand Pepsi.
