The governorship candidate of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) in Kebbi State, Alhaji Mustapha Hassan Yauri has left the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC and withdrawn from the governorship race.

This he announced while spekaing with newsmen immediately after a closed door meeting with INEC officials today in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

He said he withdrew after evaluating the performance of the APC government and consulting with stakeholders of the state.

Yauri said: “I decided to join APC because of the achievements the present administration has recorded in the state and president Muhammadu Buhari, such as the construction of roads from Jega, Koko, Yauri and Kotangora while Atiku Bagudu has also constructed Yauri township road, empowering youth through Agricultural sectors.”

He further urged all his party supporters to join APC and support the present administration in the state in order to ensure the party’s victory at the polls in February and March.
