Buhari Mourns The Victims Of Truck Accident In Ekiti

President Muhammadu Buhari, in his reaction to the weekend tragic truck accident that took the lives some 15 persons at Iworoko-Ekiti, in Ekiti state, has described the incident as sad and unfortunate

The President, who spoke through his Senior Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in a statement in Abuja on Monday, sent his deepest condolence to the family of those involved in the crash.

President Buhari, who stated that he felt the agony of the community and families involved, joined the government of Ekiti State to mourn the persons affected.

He further applauded the efforts of the State Government in bringing relief to the victims in the aftermath of the disaster and assured them of the solidarity of the Federal Government.

For those who sustained various degrees of injuries, the presidency prayed for speedy recovery for them.

Naija News recalls that 15 persons, including a National Youth Service Corps member, were reported crushed to death by a truck conveying branded rice on Saturday at Iworoko-Ekiti in the Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state
