Usman Yusuf, NHIS Boss To Be Investigated

The House of Representatives has decided to set up an ad hoc committee to  look into the recent crisis at the National Health Insurance Scheme.

The committee has been given four weeks to complete the assignment.

Recall that the Governing Council of the NHIS suspended the Executive Secretary, Prof. Usman Yusuf, over allegations of “fraud.”

But, Yusuf, accompanied by policemen, forced his way into office on Monday, amidst protesting workers, some supporting the ES, others against him.

Naija News also reported how the NHIS Boss made a terse statement, ‘Thers is God O’ in reaction to those against his resumption into office.

Usman maintained that the NHIS board is not empowered to suspend him, stressing that he is only responsible to President Buhari.
