Peter Obi Pops Champagne After Being Picked As Atiku’s Running Mate

Mr. Peter Obi is in a very cheerful mood after being declared the running mate of Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for the February 14, 2019 general elections.

Naija News had earlier reported that Obi was picked as Atiku’s vice after comprehensive consultation within and outside the PDP.

PDP is expected to officially forward the names of Obi and that of Atiku to the Independent National Electoral Commission next week.

The former vice president on Sunday emerged the presidential candidate of PDP, Nigeria’s main opposition.

Peter Obi was seen in an elated mood with Champagne popping as he celebrated the selection with the Director General of the Atiku Campaign Organization, Chief Gbenga Daniel, and others.
