Suspected IPOB Bomb Maker Arrested By Police In Imo State

Police Arrest Man For Selling Company Property

The Federal Anti Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command has arrested a driver with Ramlac Company in Lekki area of Lagos, who ran away with the company’s truck three months ago.

He was arrested in his home town in Ikot-Ekpene, Akwa-Ibom State.

Isaiah Ezekiel, the suspect, who who was said to have committed the crime barely a month after he was employed, was sent to disburse 150 bags of sachet water to retailers within Lekki.

All effort to reach him via his phone proved abortive, as he switched off his phone.

Also, a visit to his apartment at Jakande 1st gate, Lekki, revealed that he had left the house with members of his family, as the door was under lock and keys.

When accosted, the suspect disclosed that he sold the truck for N250, 000, out of which he only got N100,000.

Asked why he did it, he replied, “I did it because I needed money to buy baby milk for my six- month – old baby. I was employed as a driver without salary. The job was based on commission. For every trip, I got N500.

“I managed to make a trip a day which is not enough to transport myself and eat, let alone to feed my family. At times, I used the N500 which ought to be my commission to buy fuel because we were not given money for fuel.

“On May 20,2018, I took some bags of sachet water to sell as usual. But I dropped the bags at my place and took the truck to a mechanic who took me to Ladipo market , where he sold it for N250,000. The buyer paid N200,000 with a promise to pay the balance when he received a sworn affidavit on the sale of the truck. The mechanic gave me N140,000 and collected the balance.

I immediately went home and told my wife that we were leaving for the village, since Lagos proved difficult to live in”

Naija News gathered that efforts were still on to arrest the mechanic and buyer of the truck.
