The All Progressives Congress, has reacted to the defection of the Gombe State Minority Leader, Alhaji Ahmed Usman form the party to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Fada, as he was popularly called, announced his defection yesterday during the house plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar Nono.

He said he left the APC because of the existing division in the state chapter of the party and the injustice meted on him by the party leadership. He said the state APC unjustly suspended him four months ago and denied him the opportunity to defend himself, despite writing several letters to the national headquarters of the party.

Reacting to his defection, Naomi Awak, APC Public Relations Officer in Gombe, speaking with NAN, said the party was unmoved by his defection.

“APC is not moved. With or without him, we will win at both the state and national levels in 2019.

“It’s not surprising, because he has been working with the opposition to destroy the APC in Gombe.
