Ifedore LGA Plan To Produce Sole Candidate For The Party

Mr Kayode Akinmade, a former Commissioner for Information in the state, has been adopted by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Thursday, as its candidate for the 2019 House of Representatives election in the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency of the state.

Akinmade, who was a commissioner under the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko administration had earlier been adopted as their candidate by the party in the Idanre council area.

Mr Lawrence Ibukun, the leader of PDP in Ifedore LGA, revealed that he (Akinmade) had all it took to represent his people at the federal level.

He said, “Akinmade’s experience as a former Special Adviser on media to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Dimeji Bankole, and a two-time Commissioner for Information in Ondo State would assist him in no small measure to bring quality development to the area.”

Ibukun stated that the party decided to bring forth a sole candidate in the federal constituency, so has to reduce people who has no good intentions for the constituency.

Akinmade was urged to see Ifedore and Idanre LGAs as his people and ensure that equity and fair play defined and dominated his legislative agenda.

The leadership of the party in both Idanre and Ifedore were urged to go back home and work for the victory of the party’s candidate in the election.

Akinmade promised to provide quality representation and ensure equity and fairness in the distribution of federal projects in the constituency.
