Man commits suicide

Pandemonium stroke in Anambra State as a 40 years old man, one Nnamdi Omezi, allegedly took his own life by hanging himself in his house at No 7 Fred Ezika street Odume layout Obosi.

The Public Relation Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement made available to Naija News, confirmed the incident.

The deceased who hanged himself with a rope tied to the cielling fan was certified dead by medical doctors brought to the scene by the police detectives from Isiowulu Division.

The Spokes person disclosed that the community refuse to allow the police retrieve the corpse for further investigation, as they insist that the needed ritual rites must be carried out in compliance with the traditional requirements before moving the corpse.

Mohammed said that the police recovered the photograph of the deceased and that the case is under investigation.
