Registered Voters In Osun State Urged To Pick Up Their Cards

Mr Olusegun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State, ahead of the governorship election in the state, has revealed that 642,592 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected by their owners.

This was revealed at a stakeholders’ retreat by youth groups under the aegis of Young Stars Development Initiative, 2Baba Foundation and Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) in Osogbo, as part of the “Vote Not Fight” advocacy.

The stakeholders retreat was supported by National Democratic Institute (NDI), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and UK-AID.

The REC said out of 1,674,600 registered voters whose PVCs were produced by INEC, only 1,032,008 have collected their PVC as at June 8, 2018.

He further stated that distribution of PVCs are still ongoing at all INEC local government offices across the state and urged voters to go and claim their cards.
