Paul Okoye has taken time out to reveal a conversation between him and a fraudulent Instagram page run, the person claimed to be the Emir of Kano on his Instagram.

From the screenshot, the singer had initially believed the page to be authentic and even released his contact details when the ‘Emir’ requested for it, but the coversation went sour when the fake person requested for some amount of money.

The Instagram page that was used by the fake guy was verified and this can easily make anybody fall for it as Paul Okoye also fell for it.

BBC reports that a 20-year-old year man was arrested for running the fake page. The suspect will be charged for impersonation and fraud.

Following the arrest, the official verification badge was removed and the page has now been made private.
