The Nigerian Senate today has condemned the serious mayhem that occurred between Kadara and Hausa youths at Kasuwan Magani area of Kajuru local council area of Kaduna State.

Naija News learnt that the clash which was said to have terminated about seven lives, also included destruction of many houses and valuable property running into millions of Naira.

Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna central who formally brought the tragic incident to the attention of the upper chamber, explained that the lethal violence which later became a religious bias was instigated by some lawless youths of the area.

He added that the increasing rate of clashes in the society has suddenly misplaced the normal way of life for people where peace and order were sacrosanct.

He further stated that the unity of the country was not simply about upholding the national flag captured with a coat of arms.

The presiding Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu warned that religious intolerance was destroying the country and encouraged both Christians and Muslims to eschew violence and evil in their doings.
