Army Constructs Road Into Sambisa Forest (Photos)

The Nigerian Army has started constructing in-roads into the Sambisa forest as part of the on-going efforts towards further dislodging Boko Haram insurgents in the area.

The efforts are also targeted at making Sambisa forest habitable and also turn the forest into a training ground for the troops.

The ongoing clearance operations by the Nigerian Army with road construction into main heartland of the forest and adjoining towns, has already commenced in earnest along Gwoza-Yamteke-Bitta road, as well as the reconstruction of the road from Gwoza-Yamteke-Bitta-Tokumbere, leading into Sambisa forest.
