Kano APC chairman resigns.

Following the indictment of Abdullai Abbas, the Kano State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the crisis between Governor Abdullai Ganduje and his deputy, Hafizu Abubakar, the APC chairman has tendered his resignation letter.

An aide to the Commissioner of Information, Faizu Alfindiki, confirmed the resignation to Premium Times.

Naija News gathered that no reason was given for the decision.

The deputy governor had indicated that he would not run on the same ticket with the governor in 2019, saying he has been sidelined from governance in the state.

He also condemned the removal of his ward chairman.

It was learnt that Governor Ganduje immediately ordered the reinstatement of the official, urging politicians in the state to respect his deputy in all their actions.
