The unknown gunmen that masterminded the kidnap of the Plateau State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Damishi Sango, have slammed a ransom of N100 million on family members for his release.
As reported by Naija News, the former minister of Sports was kidnapped on Wednesday alongside his son, driver, and Emmanuel Mangnin- a prominent chieftain of the PDP in Plateau State.
Sango and his entourage were abducted on their way to Abuja ahead of the December 9 national convention of the PDP.
The information on the contact from the kidnappers and their demand, was disclosed by the publicity secretary of the PDP in Plateau State, John Akans in a chat with Punch.
He said, “The kidnappers have contacted the family of Damishi Sango and are demanding for N100 million.
“The family spoke with him and he assured them that he is safe. None of the five persons including, his son, have been released.
“They are still in the captivity of their abductors. From what they demanded, we are waiting to see whether they will come down from tomorrow. I’m on my way to Abuja.”
