“Biafra is a fight for the survival of Christians in Nigeria.” -Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has stressed that no area in Igbo land will be islamised during his life time.
He made the assertion during his visit to Nri, the ancestral home of Igbos in Anambra State.
He said the alleged the scheme to islamise Nigeria is real, however, no one would achieve such in his life time.
According to Kanu , “The Islamisation plot is real but they won’t succeed in my life time. No, never; not when I am alive.
He also disclosed that theagitation for the creation Biafra as a nation is not a “secessionist aspiration” but a “fight for the survival of christians”.

Kanu said, “The struggle for Biafra which I proudly lead is not a secessionist aspiration of NdiIgbo only as some erroneously think. Biafra is not just a living agitation but a fight for the survival of Christians in Nigeria against the entrenched threats of radical Islamic fundamentalists and their political collaborators within and outside Nigeria.”
Kanu’s declaration is coming after the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo alleged that “Islamists are bent on islamising Nigeria”.
