Ghana: Over 100 injured two gas explosions

No less than 100 people injured two gas explosions that went off Tuesday morning at the Sekondi-Takoradi road, the oil hub of Ghana.

Some of the injured are at Takoradi Port Hospital.

According to Citi FM, eyewitnesses and officials from the Ghana National Fire Service, said the explosion occurred “at about 7: 10 Tuesday morning when a gas tanker discharging gas to another tanker exploded before the second went off around the Total filling station on the main Takoradi Highway.

The injured included five firefighters among several others who were trying to put off the fire. The exact cause of the explosion is yet unknown.
