Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 general elections, Harrison Gwamnishu, has shared a cryptic social media post about committing suicide.

Naija News reports that Gwamnishu, who contested to become a member of the Delta State House of Assembly, in a post via Instagram, disclosed he left his house in the wee hours of today and was heading to no destination.

The self-acclaimed human rights activist, defeated in the March 18 election, said he has been through many challenges lately and it was time to ‘take a bow’.

He wrote, “Woke up and just tired. Left my house on foot at 1:45am and walked for an hour and still walking. Where I’m headed to, I don’t know, but I’m still walking. I have been through a lot lately, and I think it’s time to take a bow. Someday, you will remember me, my name, risk I took and my uselessness.”

I Am In Serious Debt

Meanwhile, Gwamnishu recently lamented that he is in serious debt and no longer mentally stable.

Gwamnishi, in a post on his Facebook account, revealed how he has been struggling to repay loans he secured before the election.

The LP candidate further stated that he sold his property, including a car, in an attempt to pay off the debt.

Gwamnishu said he would step down as the head of a human rights team under him until he resolved the issue.
