New Police Commissioner, Bala Ciroma Resumes In Plateau Immediately

Bala Ciroma is the new commissioner of police that has been posted to Plateau State, following the evil assassination of over 100 people by suspected herdsmen on Sunday.

Premium Times report that the new commissioner who was announced today is to resume duties immediately in the troubled state.

Mr. Ciroma takes over from Undie Adie, who has been directed to report to the force headquarters in Abuja immediately.

Terna Tyopev, the Plateau police spokesperson, who confirmed the posting of Ciroma said the handing over formalities by the two commissioners of police have taken place at the command’s headquarters in Jos.

Today 26th June, 2018, a new commissioner of police CP Bala Cioma has assumed duty as the commissioner of police, Plateau state command,” he said.

Before his new assignment as commissioner of police in Plateau State, he was deputy commissioner of police, criminal investigation and intelligence department in Abuja.

Mr Ciroma had also served as head of operations, Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Abuja.

He joined the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1999 with the rank of superintendent of police.

Meanwhile Naija News recalls that the Federal government has deployed more personnel and aircraft to the state to prevent further violence.

Naija News  also reports that President Buhari is expected in Plateau on Tuesday to commiserate with the victims of the attacks after commissioning a rice seedling factory in Calabar.
