Davido Finally Confirms Marriage With Chioma (Video)

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has confirmed his marriage to ‘Assurance lover’ Chioma Avril Rowland.

Naija News reports that the singer made the disclosure during an interview with media personality and content creator, Kie Kie.

Davido in the short snippet online said he is currently a married man, although the experience of losing his son was crazy, however, they are ready to face reality and get their lives moving.

He also revealed that the break from social media also gave him time to reflect on his family and remake his album.

Recall that the singer secretly paid Chioma’s bride price after holding their registry wedding on November 2022, in the wake of their child, Ifeanyi’s death.

According to Nigerian Journalist, Stella Dimoko Korkus, the ‘Assurance’ crooner completed the traditional marriage rites of his fiance, Chioma Avril Rowland on the 3rd of January.

Chioma’s father was captured in a viral photo donning white attire in the village during the festive period of 2022 and on January 3, 2023, he settled the Umunna and Umuada of Chioma’s family.

The aforementioned source also noted that the rites were done to allow the Adeleke’s family to bury their son, Ifeanyi, because, in Chioma’s village, Davido cannot bury the child’s corpse until the mother’s bride price is paid in full.

Following the full payment of Chioma’s bride price, Davido has officially updated his Wikipedia proclaiming the ‘husband and spouse’ title to the celebrity chef.
