Breaking: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Peter Obi's Case Against Tinubu
Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Keyamo, has alleged that candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP-G5) will affect Bola Tinubu’s chances positively in this Saturday’s presidential election.

Naija News reports that Tinubu, Obi, PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and other presidential candidates will share over 87 million votes tomorrow at the polls.

However, Keyamo, a spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, expressed confidence that his principal, Tinubu, will emerge the poll winner, boasting that Obi and PDP G-5 will help the former Governor of Lagos State to victory.

According to his analysis, if votes for the Labour Party candidate and that of APC in Rivers, Oyo State, are added together, it will be glaring how the PDP had lost its way. Keyamo maintained that Tinubu would be declared president-elect next week.

“The reasons Asiwaju will win are Peter Obi and the G5; after @officialABAT is declared winner, add the votes of Obi & the APC votes in Rivers & Oyo to that of PDP, then you’ll see how PDP lost its way.

“See you all next week when @officialABAT is President-Elect,” the APC chieftain wrote on Twitter.

Wike Speaks On Misleading Rivers People With Choice Of Preferred Presidential Candidate

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has denied misleading Rivers people on his political decision concerning the presidential candidate to support ahead of the forthcoming elections on Saturday.

Naija News reports that Wike while inaugurating some road projects at the Ojoto Roundabout in Mile 2 Diobu in Port Harcourt, asserted that what was paramount to him was the interest and protection of the state.

Wike said he had always advised political officer holders or those in positions of trust to know that when their people confide in them, they should use the opportunity to better their lot.

He said, “When you have an opportunity when the people give you their confidence, you must also make them happy. How do you make them happy? It is by making sure you provide them with things that change their environment, with things that will better their lives, with things that will improve economic activities in their area.”

Wike said Rivers people had offered him great opportunities to accomplish so much in his private life and political career.

He said: “For what Rivers State has given me, I owe them (Rivers people) a lot in my life and I will continue to protect their interest. I am not going to sell Rivers State to anybody for a pot of porridge.

“And that is why if I tell you this is the right place, know it is the right place. I am not going to deceive you. I am not one of those leaders who are running around for their personal interest.”

He advised the people to be wary of some of their leaders who promote crisis among their people, leading to killings instead of creating opportunities.
