Chelsea Sign Joao Felix From Atletico Madrid

English Premier League side, Chelsea has completed the signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

Naija News gathered that the Portuguese forward was signed on loan by the Blue who are hoping to end the season among the top four in the league.

Portugal forward becomes Chelsea’s fourth January signing, after Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United had shown interest in signing Felix during the January transfer window.

Arsenal was hoping to add Felix to their team following Gabriel Jesus’s injury which leave him out of the team for months.

Chelsea, however, took advantage of Felix’s desire to join their team and sealed a deal ahead of other Premier League rivals.

On the loan move to Chelsea, Felix told the club’s official website: “Chelsea is one of the great teams in the world and I hope to help the team reach their objectives, so I am very, very happy to be here and very excited to play at Stamford Bridge.”

Felix travelled to London on Tuesday to undergo a medical ahead of joining Chelsea for the rest of the season.

The West-London side led by Graham Potter is currently ranked 10th on the league table.
