Two Die, Others Injured As Lagos Building Collapses

Two children have reportedly died while three adults sustained various degrees of injuries following the collapse of a storey building on Adeleye Street, Lady Lark, Bariga area of Lagos state.

Naija News reports that the incident occurred on Sunday night on Adeleye Street, Lady Lark, Bariga.

The LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in the situation report made available to journalists confirmed the development around 10:47 pm.

The Situation Report titled:’Collapsed building at Adeleye Street Ladylak, Bariga’ reads “The Agency activated its response to the above incident and upon arrival at the incident scene, discovered that the tank scaffolding of a two-story building collapsed on a bungalow beside it and affected two rooms.

“Unfortunately, two children died from the impact. Three adult males sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.

“The Agency’s response team alongside Lagos State Fire and LASBCA are responders at the incident scene. Rescue operation ongoing”

Meanwhile, unknown gunmen have killed the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area chairman, Kehinde Oloyede, Francis Olagoke Oguntulu, at a party in Lagos.

Naija News reports that the LG boss made this known in a statement on Sunday, disclosing that Oguntulu was shot at and axed on Adeyemi street, Oshodi, on Friday.

Oguntulu reportedly died on Sunday morning from his injuries.
