65-year-old Man Murdered in Imo, Head Dumped In Primary School

A 65-year-old man, Nnoruoka Onyeokwu has been beheaded and his head dumped in a primary school in Ubudom Atta in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

The deceased was reportedly attacked in his house in the night and the community woke up to his head dangling from a tree in the primary school, Daily Trust reports

The publication contacted Mike Abattam, the Public Relations Officer of the state police but he was not available for comment.

Njaba has been experiencing killings since last year.

Edwin Azike, the traditional leader of the community was on December 8, 2021 kidnapped and his body dumped at the market square the following day.

A health center, police divisional headquarters and health center were also burnt down by some gunmen in June.

In other news, An alleged member of the Bobos Cult group, Austin Jephthah who has been terrorizing Edepie – Agudama axis of Yenagoa, has been nabbed by the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service.

The notorious criminal also known as Tarzan, was nabbed on Tuesday morning while he was robbing an unsuspecting commuter at the popular Tombia-Edepie Roundabout area of Yenagoa.

It was gathered the suspect had stopped a tricycle and held its driver at gunpoint, asking him to submit all his belongings. Read more
