Senate postpones debate on 2018-2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework

The Senate has postponed till December 5, the debate on the 2018-2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).

The postponement which occurred on Thursday came after a motion by the Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, on the floor of the Senate.

The Red Chair chamber agreed to postpone the MTEF document until Tuesday when it would be aware of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) benchmark.

Presiding over the plenary, the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, appealed to fellow legislators to support the motion to enable the Senate make informed decisions on the matter.
