Chelsea has confirmed that their players will not receive pay cuts during the coronavirus crisis.

The Blues, in a statement Saturday, also confirmed that the non-playing staff would not be put on leave.

The players discussed how they can contribute financially during the pandemic. But they will continue to be paid as usual.

“Representatives from the Chelsea board have recently had in-depth discussions with the first men’s team to discuss how they can contribute financially to the club during the coronavirus crisis.

“At the moment, the first men’s team will not contribute financially to the club and the board of directors has instead ordered the team to focus on supporting other charitable causes. As this crisis develops, the club will continue to have conversations with the first men’s team regarding financial contributions to the club’s activities, “the statement said.
